1. No verification by suchen.expert
suchen.expert does not control or verify whether an item reported on our platform has actually been found by lawful means or whether it may have come into the finder's possession through unlawful acts. In particular, no verification is made with regard to the ownership or possession rights of the reported lost property.
2. Do not search for an official authority according to § 965 Abs. 2 BGB.
expert does not act as an official authority in the sense of § 965 paragraph 2 of the German Civil Code (BGB). We are not a lost property office authorised to accept lost property reports.
3. No fulfilment of legal reporting obligations
Reporting lost property via our platform does not fulfil the legal reporting obligations according to § 965 BGB. Finders are still obliged to report the find to the relevant authority (e.g. the lost property office or the police) if this is required by law.
4. purpose and aim of suchen.expert
Our main objective is to provide a platform that helps users to efficiently locate lost or stolen items and return them to their rightful owners. We support both finders and losers in establishing contact and communicating.
5. Rights and obligations according to §§ 965 ff. BGB
The legal obligations and rights for finders and losers, as regulated in §§ 965 to 984 BGB, remain unaffected by the use of our platform. Users of our services must ensure on their own responsibility that they comply with the legal requirements, in particular:
- The obligation to notify the competent authority (§ 965 BGB).
- The duty of care for finders (§ 966 BGB).
- The claim for finder's reward (§ 971 BGB).
6. Disclaimer
suchen.expert does not accept any liability for claims or conflicts that may arise from the use of the platform, in particular in connection with:
- Disputes over ownership or possession of lost property.
- Possible cases of abuse or false reports.
- Violations of legal obligations by users.
7. Responsibility of users
All users of suchen.expert are required to observe the applicable legal regulations and to provide truthful information about the reported lost property. If anything is unclear or in case of legal questions, we recommend consulting the relevant authorities or a legal adviser.
