Lottery and Gaming Fraud

Unfortunately, fraud involving lotteries and games is widespread. It is therefore very important to remain vigilant and not be deceived by fraudsters’ tricks. If you unexpectedly receive a message saying that you have won a lottery or game, be sceptical and do not immediately believe promises of large winnings. Genuine lotteries and games do not demand advance payments or fees to receive a prize. A common scam involves the sender asking for a small amount to “activate your winnings” or release the prize.

Remember: if you have not entered a lottery or game, you cannot win. Be cautious and verify all information before acting. Do not send money to strangers, and be suspicious of questionable offers.

If you receive a suspicious prize notification, we recommend not responding and not disclosing any personal or financial information. Where possible, mark the message as spam and delete it.

Fraudsters use many methods to deceive you and obtain your money. Stay vigilant, protect your finances and do not allow yourself to be easily misled. If you suspect that you have fallen victim to fraud, immediately inform the police or other competent authorities to help prevent further criminal activity.
