First, check the actual status
Before creating a new advert, open ‘My adverts’ and check whether the previous advert has actually been deleted. The different sections have different meanings:
- ‘Active’ means that the advert has been made public.
- ‘Pending’ means that processing or review has not yet been completed.
- ‘Rejected’ means that the advert has not been approved for publication.
- ‘Deactivated’ means that the advert is not publicly visible but still exists in your user account.
- ‘Archived’ contains adverts whose active publication period has expired.
- ‘Deleted’ means that the advert has been permanently removed from the regular advert management area.
An advert is not deleted simply because it is no longer publicly visible or does not appear under ‘Active’. Only create a new advert once you have checked its actual status.

A deleted advert cannot be reactivated
A permanently deleted advert cannot be restored or reactivated through the regular advert management area. If you want to publish the same item, service or event again, you must create a new advert under ‘Place an advert’.
By contrast, a deactivated, archived or rejected advert has not automatically been deleted. Different management functions are available for these adverts depending on their status.
If you have not saved the original text or images used outside the platform, you should not assume that they will still be accessible after deletion. Reconstruct the content from your own records and ensure that you only use up-to-date and accurate information.

Recreate the advert from scratch
To create the advert again, proceed as follows:
- Open ‘Place an advert’.
- Select the appropriate type of advert.
- Select the category and the applicable situation.
- Select the correct location and check the map marker.
- Add a clear title and a full description.
- Enter the current price and any other required details, if applicable.
- Upload suitable and up-to-date images.
- Check the available settings for visibility and automatic publication.
- Review the entire advert and submit it by clicking ‘Publish’.
Guidance on offers, services, Marketplace adverts and events can be found under ‘How do I create a listing for products, services or events on suchen.expert?’

Check the type, category, situation and location again
Do not carry over the previous selection without checking it. The type, category, situation and location must match the current purpose of the new advert. These four details cannot be changed after publication.
In particular, check:
- whether the purpose of the advert is still the same,
- whether the selected type matches the current situation,
- whether a more specific category is available,
- whether the previous situation still applies,
- whether the collection, service, loss, find or event location is stated correctly,
- whether the map marker is in the correct position.
For example, an item that was initially lost but has since been found must not be republished as ‘lost’ without any changes. Similarly, a previous offer to sell may now have become an item to be given away.
Further guidance is available in the article ‘How do I choose the right category for my advert on suchen.expert?’

Update the description, price and dates
Check all details again, even if you still have the previous text saved.
Make sure:
- that the title and description match,
- that the condition, features and known faults are described in full,
- that what is included and the terms of the offer are up to date,
- that the price and basis for negotiation are still correct,
- that availability, collection, delivery or service period are stated correctly,
- that old dates and event dates that have already passed are removed,
- that no statements from the previous advert are carried over which are no longer accurate.
Telephone numbers or other details intended for this purpose should only be entered in the relevant fields. Do not publish any unnecessary personal details in the title or description.
If the previous text remains entirely accurate and up to date, it does not need to be reworded artificially. Do not change the text, category or other details solely for the purpose of making the new advert look different.

Use appropriate and up-to-date photos
Upload images that accurately depict the item, service or event as it is now. Older photos may be reused if they still reflect the actual circumstances and you are authorised to publish them.
Before uploading, check:
- whether the condition shown is still up to date,
- whether all essential parts of the offer are visible,
- that no private addresses or shipping labels are visible,
- that no identity document, bank account or card details are visible,
- that full serial or IMEI numbers have been obscured,
- that no QR codes, barcodes or access codes are published,
- that no uninvolved people are identifiable without their consent.
The fact that an image has previously been used on suchen.expert does not automatically mean that a third-party image may be republished.

Avoid simultaneous duplicate adverts
Before creating a new advert, check whether there is already an active, pending, rejected, deactivated or archived advert with the same content.
If the previous advert still exists, use the appropriate edit, activation or reactivation function. Do not create a second identical advert as long as the existing advert can still be edited or republished.
Do not claim that the system invariably detects and blocks every duplicate advert automatically. However, identical adverts published in parallel can make search results difficult to navigate and confuse interested users.
Do not artificially alter text or images in order to circumvent a rejection or another moderation decision. Instead, correct the existing advert and address the stated reason for rejection.

Handle deactivated, archived and rejected adverts correctly
A deactivated advert has not been deleted. If you want to publish it again, use the activation function offered for the existing advert. Further guidance can be found in ‘How do I deactivate my listing?’
An archived advert has been moved to the archive after its active publication period has expired. Before republishing it, check the price, description, images, dates and availability. Further information can be found under ‘How does the archive system on suchen.expert work?’ and ‘How do I repost an archived advert on suchen.expert?’
A rejected advert should be corrected using the available editing function. Guidance can be found in ‘How do I edit a rejected advert and resubmit it?’

Submit the new advert and track its status
Once submitted, the newly created advert will be reviewed. During this time, it may appear under ‘Pending’. Do not create a second version of the same advert while the review is in progress.
Following the review, the advert may:
- be approved and displayed under ‘Active’,
- appear under ‘Rejected’ if changes are required,
- be restricted or removed if a breach of the rules is identified at a later date.
No fixed processing time is generally guaranteed for the review. You should therefore check the current status under ‘My adverts’.

Choose the appropriate function before deleting in future
Before deleting an advert, consider what outcome you wish to achieve:
- If you only want to hide the advert temporarily, use ‘Deactivate’.
- If the active publication period has expired, check the advert under ‘Archived’.
- If the advert has been rejected, edit the existing entry.
- If you wish to remove the entry permanently, use ‘Delete’.
Deletion is usually permanent and cannot be undone. Further guidance can be found under ‘How do I delete my advert?’

If important details are no longer available
If you cannot clearly determine the status of an earlier advert or important information about a deletion is missing, contact the support team via the contact form.
Please provide the following, where available:
- the advert ID,
- the previous title,
- the approximate date of creation or deletion,
- the last status displayed,
- a brief description of the problem.
Do not send passwords, security codes or complete activation links. The support team can check a status or technical process, but restoration of a permanently deleted advert cannot be guaranteed.
