+ Place an advert
Deleting an advert and reposting it immediately with the same content is not a good way to gain more visibility. In doing so, you are giving up valuable signals and the attention you have already built up, without securing a permanently better position.
In most cases, it is more effective to update the existing advert, reactivate an archived advert or book a suitable promotion service via “Boost”. This keeps your offer easy to manage and lets you invest specifically in its presentation instead of repeatedly starting from scratch.

What is lost when you delete
When you permanently delete an advert, the existing entry disappears. Depending on the displayed function and status, this may also remove information that was useful to you and interested people.
- Previous views of the advert
- Saved favourites and existing watchlist entries
- The direct link shared to date
- The familiar advert ID
- the recognition already built up
- the remaining duration of booked promotion services
People who have saved or shared the old link will not automatically be redirected to the new advert.

A new advert starts from scratch
The new version is treated as a new entry. It must be created in full, checked and published. Recreating it alone does not produce an immediate or specific placement.
If both versions are available for a short time or if multiple, almost identical adverts are posted, the overview may also become unclear. Interested people may then be unsure which advert is current. Furthermore, repeatedly deleting and reposting the same content may be interpreted as an attempt to influence search results. The new version may then be identified as a duplicate, reviewed again and, if necessary, blocked.

Booked promotion services are not transferred
“Yellow Frame”, “Premium Top” and “Gallery” belong to the advert for which they were booked. If you delete that entry, any remaining duration is not automatically transferred to a new copy.
Before deleting anything, check whether a package is still active. You can find information about the duration in How does a promotion service affect the duration of my advert? You can check the status with How do I check whether a promotion service has been activated?

Better: improve the existing advert
If the offer is still current, edit the existing advert where possible. Even just a few targeted changes can significantly improve its effectiveness.
- Replace a weak main image with a clear, bright photo.
- Make the title more specific and easier to understand.
- Add important details and answer common questions.
- Update the price, reward, date and availability.
- Remove outdated or contradictory information.
- Check the collection, shipping or service area details.

Reactivating archived adverts effectively
If the regular publication period has expired, you do not automatically need to create a new copy. Under “My Adverts”, open the “Archived” section, check all of the content and use the available function to republish it.
Update the images, price, description and availability before resubmitting the advert. This allows you to build on the existing content and avoid unnecessary duplication.

Use “Boost” to attract fresh attention
If the content of your advert is right but it needs more attention, open the “Active” section under “My Adverts” and select “Boost” for the advert concerned.
- “Premium Top” supports a particularly prominent presentation.
- The “Yellow Frame” makes the advert card more visually striking.
- The “Gallery” creates an additional presentation on the homepage.

When a new advert really makes sense
A new advert is appropriate if a genuinely new offer has come about or if key details no longer match the previous advert.
- You are offering a different item or service.
- A different advert type is required.
- The category, situation or location has changed significantly.
- A new event differs significantly from the previous one.
- The existing advert can no longer be updated accurately.
Do not delete the old version until you are sure you no longer need it and that no active promotion services will be lost.

Quick decision guide
- Have you only changed the text, images or price? Edit the existing advert.
- Has the publication period expired? Check the archived version and reactivate it.
- Want more attention? Select ‘Boost’ and choose a suitable promotion service.
- A completely new offer or incorrect basic classification? Create a new advert.
- Is the package still active? Check the status and remaining duration before deleting.

A well-maintained advert benefits from clear content and targeted visibility. Instead of deleting it again and again, continue improving the existing entry and use the attention it has already built up as the foundation for the next relevant contact.
