Do not assume an automatic transfer
Listings and account data are generally associated with the account in which they were created or generated. You should not assume that two accounts will be merged automatically or that everything will be transferred in full to another account.
Depending on the type of data and the technical features available, the following content in particular may be impossible or not straightforward to transfer:
- active, archived or rejected listings,
- messages and chat histories,
- reviews given or received,
- favourites and saved searches,
- account and notification settings,
- activity and security histories,
- account-related status or moderation information.
You can carry out a transfer yourself only if an option specifically intended for this purpose is explicitly provided. Do not create additional accounts or copy content in bulk while the permitted procedure remains unclear.
Distinguish a data copy from an account transfer
Providing a copy of your own data is not the same as transferring an account or reassigning listings. A data copy may, for example, be used for your own records, but it changes neither account ownership nor the association of the content.
A data export also does not automatically mean that the exported information can be imported into another suchen.expert account. An export does not automatically delete or change the original account or its content.
Two personal accounts belonging to the same person
If you have accidentally created more than one personal account, do not create another account and avoid further activity in parallel until the next steps have been clarified. Do not expect the accounts to be merged automatically.
Contact support using the contact form and describe which accounts are affected. Support can review the options available in the specific case. However, this does not guarantee that listings, messages, reviews or other account data can be merged. Transfer to another person
Do not transfer a personal account to another person on your own initiative. Do not share the password or access to the registered email or Google account.
The association and use of accounts are governed by the General Terms of Service. Account ownership must not be changed simply by passing on sign-in details. Clarify any possible change with support in advance. Messages, reviews and activity data are connected to the person and the interactions through which they arose. Reassigning them to another person may mislead other users about the previous communication or experience and should therefore not be assumed to be possible.
If another person intends to offer a permitted item or service themselves in future, they may, where appropriate, create their own listing with their own accurate information. This is permitted only if they are authorised to do so and comply with the platform rules. Avoid having active listings with identical content at the same time, and do not copy personal messages, reviews or third-party content.
From a personal account to a business account
A personal account and a business account are different account types. A business account is registered through the separate process provided for this purpose. A personal account does not become a business account merely by changing the profile name or using a company logo.
Listings, messages, reviews and other data from a personal account are not automatically associated with a business account. Contact support if business-related content is affected. Describe the desired scope precisely and wait for the review before posting the content again.
Changes to a business account
If only the visible profile name or company name changes, the account data may need to be updated rather than transferred. Guidance on the visible name can be found in How can I change my profile name? A change in the responsible employees, management, legal form or ownership arrangements does not automatically result in an account transfer. A review and suitable supporting evidence may also be required in the event of a company name change, merger or business succession.
The request must be made by a person authorised to act for the company. Do not send commercial-register extracts, powers of attorney, identity documents or other evidence unless asked to do so. Submit only the specific documents requested and use the secure method provided for this purpose.
Never transfer sign-in details
Do not transfer an account by giving another person the password, access to the registered email inbox or one-time security codes. This may give that person access to private messages, personal data and recovery features.
When signing in with Google, the associated Google account must not be passed on to another person or company either. Google sign-in for a personal account replaces neither business registration nor a support-reviewed change to the account association.
Signing in via Facebook or Apple is planned for the future. Neither option’s availability nor a specific launch date is promised. This does not provide a way to transfer existing account data.
Create listings again where necessary
If a listing cannot be transferred, it may be possible to create it again in the authorised target account. This depends on the circumstances, the available features and the applicable rules.
The new listing must contain current, complete and accurate information. Use images and text only if the target account is authorised to use them. Do not copy personal messages, reviews or internal account data. Avoid duplicate active listings and, for paid add-on services, clarify with support in advance whether and how they can be handled.
Creating the listing again does not transfer views, messages, favourites, reviews or any other history from the previous listing.
Messages and reviews remain account-specific
Messages document the communication between the accounts involved. Reviews are based on specific experiences and interactions. Reassigning them to another user or business could give an inaccurate impression of that user’s or business’s previous activity.
You should therefore not assume that messages or reviews will be transferred to another account. A data copy provided for your own purposes does not change this.
Data protection rights do not mean that accounts will be merged
Under the applicable conditions, the General Data Protection Regulation may provide rights of access and data portability. These rights do not amount to an entitlement to merge platform accounts, transfer account ownership or import all data into another suchen.expert account.
Whether a right applies, which data it covers and the format in which the data can be provided depend on the legal requirements and the specific processing. The rights and possible restrictions are explained in the Privacy Policy. Restricted or deleted accounts
A transfer must not be used to circumvent an account restriction or suspension. Do not create a replacement account when such a measure applies. Guidance on the next steps can be found in Why is my account temporarily restricted? If an account has been permanently deleted, content that has already been deleted or anonymised may no longer be recoverable or transferable. Further information can be found in How can I permanently delete my account? The fact that certain data continues to be processed to a limited extent because of statutory retention or record-keeping obligations does not mean that a usable account can be reconstructed from it.
Prepare a support request
If you want to request a change to the account association or a data copy, use the contact form. Where possible, provide: - whether a personal account or a business account is affected,
- the registered email addresses of your own affected accounts,
- profile names and profile links,
- IDs or links for the relevant listings,
- the data or content concerned,
- whether you are requesting a copy, a change to account data or a transfer,
- the specific reason for the request,
- for a business account, the company name and your role.
Do not send passwords, full activation or reset links, security codes or sign-in details for email or Google accounts. Submit evidence of identity, authority to act or company status only after support specifically requests it and provides an appropriate submission method.
Support can review the available options, but cannot guarantee either a complete transfer or the merging of specific types of data.
