The ‘Report a problem’ function is designed to enable you to bring a potentially unlawful, misleading, abusive or otherwise non-compliant advert to the attention of suchen.expert. Reporting an advert allows the operator to investigate the matter, but does not automatically resolve a private dispute between users.

When should you report an advert?
It is advisable to report an advert if it may contravene legal provisions, the General Terms of Service or the applicable usage guidelines. This may include, for example, suspected fraud, prohibited or obviously misleading content, spam, insults, discrimination, unlawful offers or possible infringements of personality rights, copyright or trade mark rights.
Suspicious payment requests, malicious links or attempts to obtain passwords, PINs, TANs or confirmation codes may also be grounds for reporting.
A difference of opinion, unsatisfactory communication or a private dispute regarding payment, delivery or fulfilment of a contract does not automatically constitute a breach of the rules. Such matters may also require direct clarification, a support enquiry or legal action on your part.

How to access the reporting function
Open the relevant advert and select the ‘Report a problem’ function provided there. Then follow the steps displayed on the platform and describe the circumstances as accurately as necessary.
The display may vary depending on the device and view. The controls and instructions shown with the advert therefore apply.

Information that helps with the review
Describe exactly which content or behaviour is problematic and why you suspect a possible breach. Distinguish between your own observations and assumptions, and, where possible, recount relevant events in chronological order.
The following details may be particularly helpful: the advert ID, the title or link to the advert, the username concerned, the approximate date, and a precise description of the text, image, request or message in question. If the matter relates to a payment, delivery or communication, please provide only the essential details.
Keep relevant original messages, payment or dispatch confirmations and other supporting evidence in their original form. If the reporting channel in question does not provide a means of submitting documents, please keep the evidence to hand in case of any follow-up enquiries.

What to avoid when making a report
Keep your language factual and refrain from using insults, threats or public accusations. Do not present a suspicion as a proven fact. Repeated identical reports do not speed up the review and may make it more difficult to match them to the case.
Do not submit any information that is not required for the investigation. This includes, in particular, passwords, PINs, TANs, confirmation codes, full copies of identity documents and sensitive data relating to uninvolved individuals. Do not publish private messages or payment details in publicly visible areas.

What happens after a report
suchen.expert may review the reported content on the basis of the available information, legal requirements, the General Terms of Service and the usage guidelines. In individual cases, additional details or evidence may be requested.
In the event of a confirmed breach, content or adverts may be restricted, rejected or removed, and accounts may be restricted or suspended. Which action may be considered depends on the available circumstances as well as the nature and severity of the potential breach.
A report does not automatically lead to the removal of an advert or to any specific action. Whether and to what extent you receive a response depends on the specific procedure and the applicable legal requirements.
The review of a report does not constitute a binding decision regarding private claims for payment, ownership, performance or damages. suchen.expert is generally not a party to transactions concluded between users and cannot guarantee any refund or fulfilment of the contract.

If the advert is no longer accessible
If the advert has already been deleted, deactivated or is no longer accessible to you, you can use the contact form. Please provide any identifying details such as the advert ID, title, link, username and the approximate time.
If you have previously saved a screenshot or a confirmation, please retain the unaltered original. However, even in the case of an advert that is no longer visible, there is no guarantee that all previous content or data is still available or may be disclosed.

Distinguishing between reports, support enquiries and review requests
By selecting ‘Report a problem’, you are drawing attention to an advert that may be in breach of the rules or unlawful, or to a related matter.
The contact form is also intended for general support enquiries, technical issues and cases where no accessible advert is available. Support can explain functions and investigate a matter within the platform, but does not rule on private legal claims nor provide individual legal advice.
If your own content, adverts or account have been restricted, suspended or removed as a result of a moderation decision, you can use the contact form to request a review of this decision. Please specify the decision in question and explain why, in your view, it should be reviewed.

In the event of suspected fraud, problematic payments or threats
If a payment has already been made that may be unauthorised or fraudulent, please contact your bank or payment service provider as soon as possible. Reporting the matter internally to suchen.expert does not automatically result in a chargeback and does not replace the procedures and time limits applicable to the relevant payment method.
If you suspect a criminal offence, you can contact the police directly. For non-urgent matters, depending on the federal state and the nature of the incident, you can use the German state police forces’ online reporting service. The online reporting service is not suitable for emergencies.
In the event of immediate danger, threats of violence or if immediate police intervention is required, dial the emergency number 110 in Germany or contact your local police directly. In such situations, do not wait for a report submitted via the platform to be processed.
You do not need to report the matter to suchen.expert before contacting the police or a court, or seeking legal advice. Further information can be found in the article When and how can I take legal action in the event of a conflict on suchen.expert?

Data protection when submitting a report
The data provided as part of a report or support enquiry may be processed to associate it with the relevant case, review and handle the matter, support communication, prevent misuse and ensure the security of the platform.
Please only provide personal data relevant to the reported incident. Further information on the processing of your data and your data protection rights can be found in the Privacy Policy.
