If your advert is not displayed under ‘Active’, first check which section of advert management it appears in and what status it has. The current status shows where the advert is in the publication process and which next step is available.

What should I check first?
Open the overview of your adverts and locate the advert concerned.
Check:
- whether you are logged in with the correct user account,
- whether the advert is listed as ‘Pending’, ‘Rejected’, ‘Deactivated’, ‘Archived’ or ‘Deleted’,
- whether the title and advert ID match the advert you are looking for,
- whether a note or reason is displayed alongside the advert,
- whether the page has been reloaded after saving or a status change,
- which editing, activation or restoration functions are available for the current status.
Do not create a new advert straight away. First, clarify what has happened to the existing advert.

What does the ‘Active’ status mean?
An active advert is published and can, in principle, appear in relevant search results.
However, the ‘Active’ status does not guarantee that the advert will be displayed in every search or in a specific position. The advert type, search term, category, location, search radius and other filters must also match.
If the advert is shown as ‘Active’ but cannot be found in the search results, first check the advert type selected on the search page. The search only considers the advert type you are currently viewing.
Further information:

What does the ‘Pending’ status mean?
A pending advert has been submitted but has not yet been published as an active advert. It may, for example, be undergoing processing or review.
The ‘Pending’ status may appear, amongst other things:
- after initial submission,
- after content has been edited,
- after resubmission,
- following reactivation,
- following the restoration of an archived advert,
- if a further review is required.
A fixed processing time cannot be guaranteed. The time required may vary depending on the content, the individual case and the review needed.
Whilst the advert is pending:
- check that all mandatory details are complete,
- pay attention to any notices displayed,
- wait for any ongoing review to be completed,
- reload the advert management page later,
- do not edit the advert repeatedly without a valid reason,
- do not create an identical replacement advert.
Submitting several similar adverts does not speed up the review and may make it harder to identify the correct advert.
Further information:

What does the ‘Rejected’ status mean?
A rejected advert has not been published in its current form and therefore does not appear under ‘Active’.
Please check:
- the reason for rejection given,
- notes in the advert’s details view,
- any messages you may have received,
- the title and description,
- the selected category,
- price and quantity details,
- images and image rights,
- location and contact details,
- the item or service on offer,
- applicable terms of use and guidelines.
Correct only the specific details that have been flagged. Do not make random changes to other content that is unrelated to the rejection.
If you are offered the option to edit and resubmit, you may resubmit the advert once the corrections have been made. Resubmission does not guarantee publication. The corrected advert may be reviewed again.
Do not delete a rejected advert simply to create an identical new one straight away. Where possible, use the edit function provided for the existing advert.
Further information:

What does the ‘Deactivated’ status mean?
A deactivated advert is currently not active and will not appear in the regular search results in the same way as an active advert.
Proceed as follows:
- open the advert’s details page,
- check whether a reason or note is displayed,
- check whether the offer is still valid,
- update the price and availability,
- remove any details that are no longer accurate,
- check the images, category and location,
- use the reactivation function provided, if available.
Do not automatically assume that you deactivated the advert yourself. Check the status actually displayed and any accompanying information.
A further review may be required after reactivation or editing. During this time, the advert may temporarily appear under ‘Pending’.
Further information:

What does the ‘Archived’ status mean?
An archived advert is no longer active and is stored in the archive. Archiving and deletion are different processes.
The reason why an advert has been archived and what other options are available depend on the specific advert and the features available in your account.
Please check:
- whether the offer is still current,
- whether the price and availability are still correct,
- whether a time period or end date has expired,
- whether the category and location are still appropriate,
- whether a function is available to republish the advert,
- whether any changes are required before republishing.
If you wish to put the advert back online, use the function provided for this purpose. A further review may be required after changes or republication.
Further information:

What does the ‘Deleted’ status mean?
A deleted advert will not appear under ‘Active’ and cannot be reactivated in the same way as an advert that has simply been deactivated.
First check whether the advert has actually been deleted and is not simply deactivated or archived.
If you wish to republish the same offer:
- ensure that there is no other active or pending advert for the same offer,
- use only up-to-date information,
- check the price, availability and scope of delivery,
- select the correct advert type and the appropriate category,
- upload only up-to-date and permitted images,
- only then create a new advert.
Do not copy out-of-date information from the previous advert without checking it first.
Further information:

Why might the status change after editing?
A change may mean that an advert has to be reviewed again. After saving, the advert may therefore temporarily change from ‘Active’ to ‘Pending’.
This may particularly affect details such as:
- title,
- description,
- category,
- price,
- location,
- images,
- availability,
- item offered,
- nature and scope of a service,
- other details relevant to publication.
Reload the page after saving and check the current status. Successfully saving the advert does not automatically mean that it will immediately become active again without a further review.
Do not make repeated changes while a review is in progress unless a correction is required. Each further change may require the advert to be processed again.

What can I do if the status displayed appears to be out of date?
First, reload the advert management page completely.
Then check:
- whether you are still logged in with the correct account,
- whether you have opened the correct advert,
- whether the advert appears in a different status section,
- whether the title or advert ID has been changed,
- whether there is a recent notification,
- whether the same status is displayed after logging in again,
- whether the same display persists in another up-to-date browser.
Clear the cache and cookies only if an ordinary reload and signing in again do not help. This may sign you out and remove saved settings.
Do not create an identical replacement advert whilst the technical check is in progress.

What can I do if I cannot edit a required field?
Certain advert details may not be editable by you once the advert has been created.
If a necessary correction cannot be made:
- do not enter a contradictory alternative detail in another field,
- do not simply explain an incorrect detail somewhere in the description,
- do not immediately create an identical advert,
- make a note of the advert ID,
- document the incorrect and the desired details,
- contact support.
Further information:

What should I avoid?
Avoid:
- multiple identical adverts,
- parallel submissions of the same offer,
- repeated changes without a valid reason,
- providing inaccurate details to circumvent a status,
- an incorrect advert type,
- an inappropriate category,
- an incorrect location,
- ignoring a reason for rejection,
- deleting an advert when you merely wish to hide it temporarily,
- assuming that resubmitting an advert guarantees approval,
- sharing your password or login details.

In what order should I proceed?
It is best to check the advert in this order:
- Log in using the correct user account.
- Open the overview of your adverts.
- Search for the advert using the title or advert ID.
- Check all the status sections.
- Open the detailed view.
- Read all the notes and reasons.
- Check whether the advert is pending, rejected, deactivated, archived or deleted.
- Make only necessary and relevant corrections.
- Use the function provided for that status.
- Reload the page after saving or changing the status.
- Wait for any review in progress to finish.
- Do not create an identical replacement advert.
- Contact support if the status or further steps are unclear.

When should I contact support?
Use the contact form if:
- the advert does not display a clear status,
- the advert does not appear in any appropriate status section,
- no reason for rejection is displayed,
- an offered editing, activation or restoration function is not working,
- the status displayed is clearly out of date even after refreshing the page,
- you are unable to change a required field yourself,
- an error message appears,
- you cannot work out what the next step should be.
Please provide the following where possible:
- the advert ID,
- the full title,
- the direct link to the advert, if available,
- the status currently displayed,
- when the status was last checked,
- what change or action was carried out beforehand,
- what steps you have already tried,
- the wording of any error message,
- the browser and device used,
- a screenshot, if it helps to describe the error.
Never send your password, full payment details or other login credentials. Support can check the technical or organisational status, but cannot guarantee publication without the necessary requirements being met.
