You can book several promotion services for the same advert. ‘Yellow Frame’, ‘Premium Top’ and ‘Gallery’ serve different purposes and can therefore complement one another effectively. Whilst one service makes your advert stand out visually, another supports its additional display in the designated areas.
This gives you the opportunity to structure your promotion to suit your offer and the period you have in mind. The important point is that each package retains its own start date and duration.
Each package runs according to its own schedule
A new package does not automatically replace one that is already active. It starts when it is booked and runs for the selected duration. If the periods overlap, the booked services are active at the same time during that overlap. If one package ends sooner, the other can still continue until its own end date.
The durations are therefore not combined into a single overall duration. If you book two different services, two separate packages run, each with its own start and end dates.
A specific example
On 1 June, you book the ‘Yellow Frame’ for 7 days and, on 4 June, ‘Premium Top’ for 14 days. The Yellow Frame is active from 1 to 7 June. Premium Top begins on 4 June and runs until 18 June. From 4 to 7 June, both services overlap and support your advert together. After that, the Yellow Frame ends, while Premium Top continues.
This allows you to provide targeted support during an important period without having to book all services on the same day.
Which combination suits which objective?
The best combination depends on where you wish to attract additional attention. Typical options include:
- ‘Yellow Frame’ and ‘Premium Top’ if you want your advert to stand out on relevant results pages and receive additional emphasis.
- ‘Yellow Frame’ and ‘Gallery’ if you want to combine a clearly visible advert card with additional display in the Gallery.
- ‘Premium Top’ and ‘Gallery’ if you want to use several designated display areas.
- All three services together if you want to support a particularly important period for your offer as comprehensively as possible.
However, you do not automatically have to choose every package. A clear objective will help you determine the right combination and duration.
How to plan your booking effectively
First, consider when your advert is particularly relevant. For an event, this might be the period leading up to the date. For a seasonal offer, it may be the period when demand typically rises. For an item available for quick collection, a shorter, concentrated combination may be a good fit.
Before each booking, also check the cover image, price or reward, description, location and conditions. Promotion services give your advert more opportunities to attract attention. Whether this leads to an enquiry also depends on how convincing and complete the offer appears to prospective customers.
Check active packages and remaining durations
In your profile, open My Adverts and select the relevant advert. There, you can check which promotion services are active and what remaining duration is displayed. If you have made several bookings, check each package individually, as the end dates may differ.
A detailed step-by-step guide is available under “Check whether a promotion service is active”.
How to make better use of the overlapping period
Especially during an overlap, it is worth keeping the advert up to date and replying to messages promptly. Effective promotion attracts interest; clear content then makes it easier for people to decide to get in touch.
- Display the best and most recent photo first.
- State clearly in the title what is being offered, sought, found or given away.
- Keep the price, reward, date and handover conditions up to date.
- At the end of the description, briefly state the best way for prospective customers to get in touch.
What promotion services can do
Multiple packages can increase the visibility and prominence of your advert in their designated areas. However, they do not guarantee a fixed position or a specific number of views or responses. The search term, advert type, category, location, filters and the offer itself also influence what a prospective customer sees and how they respond.
You can find out more in the guide to the benefits of promotion services. The key is to combine suitable promotion with an advert that quickly answers the most important questions.
Before making another booking
Check the end date of your existing packages and decide whether you want another overlap or staggered support. This allows you to use your budget where additional attention will benefit your offer most.
