Identifying optional information
Optional information is information that is not required for the relevant basic function and that you choose to provide in addition. Such fields are labelled accordingly in the registration or profile section.

Examples and use
This may include additional contact details, a profile photo, additional company information and content that you voluntarily provide in your profile, adverts or messages. Additional profile data is processed only to the extent that you actively provide it. It may be used to present your profile, provide additional contact options or enable optional functions.

Providing information voluntarily does not automatically constitute consent
The fact that you provide information voluntarily does not automatically mean that all processing associated with it is based on consent. The applicable legal basis depends on the context and purpose of the processing. If consent is required, it will be obtained separately.

Public visibility and particular caution
Information in publicly visible areas may be viewed, stored or redistributed by other users and internet users. It may also be discoverable through search engines, interfaces or shared social media links. Wherever possible, do not publish sensitive information, login details or payment details. Only provide other people’s personal data if you are authorised to do so.

Managing your information
You can change or remove optional information in your user account and control its visibility to the extent that the relevant function provides the corresponding settings. Check regularly which information is publicly visible. Content that third parties have already copied or stored outside the platform may not be possible to remove completely. Further details can be found in the Privacy Policy.
