Submit an advert
Create a new advert via ‘Place an advert’. Carefully select the type, category, situation and location, then complete the details shown on the form. Before submitting, please check in particular the title, description, price or event details, images, location and any additional services. The type, category, situation and location cannot be changed once the advert has been published. Errors in these details cannot therefore be reliably corrected by including a note in the description.
Use the designated publication function to submit the advert for review. Submission does not mean that it is already visible to the public.
Review before the first public release
Under Section 7.5 of the General Terms of Use, new adverts are reviewed before they are made public for the first time. The review considers in particular whether the content complies with statutory requirements, the Terms of Use, the platform guidelines and the requirements for preventing misuse and ensuring safety.
There is no guaranteed fixed timeframe for the duration of the review. It may vary depending on the content, the need for further review and the current workload. You should therefore not rely on previous time estimates such as a few minutes, specific numbers of hours or a maximum of two days.
Whilst the advert is awaiting a decision, it will be listed under ‘Pending’ in the ‘My Adverts’ section. Please check the current status there yourself.
Possible outcomes of the review
Following the review, the advert may be approved or rejected:
- If approved, it will move to the ‘Active’ section and can be viewed publicly.
- If rejected, it appears in the ‘Rejected’ section and will not be made publicly available in this form.
- If a reason for rejection or a correction notice is displayed, please review it in full before making any changes.
- Resubmitting the advert does not automatically result in approval. The revised content must still comply with the applicable rules.
Approval does not constitute confirmation of the legal or factual accuracy of the advert. Nor does it constitute a recommendation or guarantee by suchen.expert.
Understanding the sections under ‘My Adverts’
The following sections are available under ‘My Adverts’: - ‘Active’ contains approved adverts that are within their active publication period.
- ‘Pending’ shows submitted adverts that have not yet been finally approved.
- ‘Rejected’ contains adverts that have not been approved for public publication.
- ‘Deactivated’ contains adverts whose public display has been terminated via the management function.
- ‘Archived’ contains adverts whose active publication period has expired and which have been moved to the archive.
The section displayed describes the current management status. Whether and where an active advert appears in specific search results also depends on its type, category, location, search terms and the filters used.
What does the ‘Active’ status mean?
An advert under ‘Active’ has been approved and is within its public publication period.
An approved advert is generally visible for 28 days. After this period, it is moved to the ‘Archived’ section. This does not mean that the advert has automatically been deleted permanently.
If an advert does not appear under ‘Active’, first check whether it has been placed under ‘Pending’, ‘Rejected’, ‘Deactivated’ or ‘Archived’.
Automatic publication for up to 56 days
When creating an advert, optional automatic publication or republication may be offered.
If you expressly select this option, the active publication period may be up to 56 days. Without this selection, there is no automatic extension after the first 28 days. Instead, the advert is moved to the archive.
Only enable this option if the content is expected to remain up to date throughout the entire period. Nevertheless, please check regularly whether the offer, request or event is still valid.
Deactivate or edit an advert promptly if the item is no longer available, the service is no longer being offered or sought, or the event has been cancelled.
Can a published advert be reviewed again at a later date?
In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Use, adverts that have already been published may be reviewed at a later date on a random basis or for a specific reason. This may occur, for example, in the event of reports of legal violations, spam, attempted fraud or security risks.
A change may also require further review, depending on the content and the current status. However, it should not be assumed across the board that every edit, however minor, will necessarily trigger the same full review process.
After saving a change, check the status under ‘My adverts’. If the advert appears under ‘Pending’, wait for the review before making any further changes.
Additional paid services
Depending on the current offer, additional paid services may be selected during the creation or management process. The duration offered in the form is currently between seven and fourteen days, depending on your selection.
Before placing an order that requires payment, please check:
- the current price,
- the selected duration,
- the scope of services described,
- the start date of the additional service,
- the payment terms,
- the consequences of subsequently deactivating or deleting the advert.
An additional service does not replace the content review or compliance with the platform rules. It does not guarantee faster approval, a specific position in all search results, or a fixed number of views or replies.
A paid promotion does not cause an advert to be published without review merely because it has been booked.
Edit an advert using the management functions
The following functions may be displayed on the relevant advert card:
- ‘Edit’ opens the editing options available for the advert. The type, category, situation and location remain unchangeable after publication.
- ‘Deactivate’ ends the advert’s public display without being equivalent to permanent deletion.
- ‘Delete’ removes the advert via the designated process.
- ‘Boost’ takes you to the options currently available to enhance the advert’s display or visibility.
The functions available for a particular status are determined by the current user interface. After each change, check the section in which the advert will subsequently be displayed.
Dealing with a rejected advert
Open a rejected advert and check the reason given or the correction instructions.
Possible objections may relate, for example, to:
- unclear or contradictory information,
- an inappropriate category or situation,
- prohibited contact details in the title or description,
- problematic or misleading images,
- prohibited content,
- infringements of third-party rights,
- missing or unclear information.
The specific reason for rejection is stated in the relevant decision. Correct the sections that have been flagged or are otherwise clearly incorrect. Do not alter the content in such a way that the actual purpose of the advert is obscured.
Do not create multiple identical adverts in an attempt to circumvent rejection or review.
Finding an advert in the search
An active advert must match the search criteria used. You should therefore check the selected type, category, location, search radius, search terms and other filters.
The search field on the page for a particular type searches only adverts of the type currently selected. A Marketplace advert, for example, will not be found by a search performed within the ‘Services’ type.
Also check whether the advert is actually under ‘Active’. A paid promotion is not required for a properly approved advert to be generally discoverable through the appropriate search.
Archiving after the publication period has expired
After the active publication period expires, the advert is moved to the ‘Archived’ section. It is then no longer publicly visible as an active advert, but can still be managed using the designated account functions.
Archiving and deletion are different processes. Therefore, do not delete an archived advert simply because it no longer appears under ‘Active’. First check whether you might wish to reuse or reactivate it later.
Reactivate an archived advert
An archived advert can be reactivated using the function provided. Before reactivating it, check that all editable details are up to date.
Pay particular attention to:
- prices and any additional costs,
- dates and event details,
- availability information,
- description and condition,
- images,
- contact and handover arrangements.
Reactivation is a deliberate action by the user. An archived advert does not become active again by itself without automatic publication having been selected beforehand or without another action by the user.
Check the status and notices regularly
Use My adverts as the definitive overview of the current status of your adverts. Do not assume that an email or other notification will necessarily be sent for every approval, rejection, archiving or other change. If you receive a notification, compare its content with the current status in the user area.
If a status is unclear, first check the advert details, any notices and the relevant FAQs. If a technical or moderation-related problem remains unclear, you can contact support via the contact form. Where possible, provide the advert ID, the status displayed and a brief factual description of the problem. Do not submit passwords, security codes or complete activation links.
