What does the ‘Rejected’ status mean?
The ‘Rejected’ status means that the advert has not been published, or has not been re-approved, in the form in which it was submitted.
A rejection does not automatically mean that your user account has been suspended. It may relate to a single element or to several details of the advert, for example:
- the title,
- the description,
- the price or reward,
- images and files,
- advert type, category, situation or location,
- contact details,
- external links,
- the actual subject of the offer,
- legal or platform-specific requirements.
The reason for rejection displayed for the specific advert is decisive.

Where can I find the reason for rejection?
Log in using the account with which the advert was created. Then open ‘My Adverts’ and go to the ‘Rejected’ section.
Open the advert concerned and check:
- the advert ID,
- the current status,
- the reason for rejection displayed,
- the relevant sections of text,
- any images or links that have been flagged,
- the date of the last submission or edit.
Read the full note. If further issues are mentioned, do not just correct the first obvious problem.
If the advert does not appear under ‘Rejected’, also check the ‘Pending’, ‘Active’, ‘Deactivated’ and ‘Archived’ sections. An advert that is not under ‘Active’ has not automatically been rejected. Further guidance is provided in What should I do if my listing isn't on the “Active” tab?

What sort of correction is required?
Depending on the reason for rejection, different solutions may be possible:
- Correct editable details: The title, description, price, images or links may be able to be amended within the existing advert.
- Create a new advert: If the advert type, category, situation or location was selected incorrectly, a new advert may be required.
- Do not repost the offer: If the offer itself is prohibited by law or under the platform rules, the problem cannot be resolved by changing the wording.
- Contact support: If no clear reason is given or a required change is technically impossible, the matter should be investigated.
Do not immediately create several slightly altered adverts. First check whether the existing advert can be corrected.

Rejection due to an incorrect price or reward amount
The amount entered in the designated price or reward field must be complete, clear and consistent with the description.
Check the following in particular:
- Has the amount been entered in full?
- Has a digit been accidentally omitted?
- Do the price field and the description match?
- Does the stated price correspond to the actual terms of the offer?
- Are any unavoidable additional costs clearly indicated?
- Where there are multiple items, is it clear whether the price applies to a single item or to the entire set?
- Is a ‘free’ offer genuinely provided without any obligation to pay later?
- Is a negotiable price not misleadingly presented as free or virtually free?
- Does the currency used correspond to the platform’s specifications and selection options?
Do not use an artificially low amount merely to make the advert appear cheaper in the search results. If there is a comprehensible reason for an unusually low price, you may explain it factually in the description.
Discounts or promotions must not cause the price field and description to contradict one another. Further guidance can be found under How do I enter the price for my offer correctly on suchen.expert?

Rejection due to contact details
An email address, telephone number and postal address may appear neither in an advert’s title nor in its description.
Remove such details even if they:
- have been separated by spaces or special characters,
- are partially written out in full,
- have been included via a prompt such as ‘Give me a call’,
- are contained within an image or QR code,
- are used to circumvent the intended contact functions.
For questions and arrangements, please use the messaging function on suchen.expert where possible. This ensures that communication remains traceable and that important details can be retrieved more easily later on.
The location, profile and company fields provided for the advert may still be used. Contact details in these designated fields should not also be included in the public title or description text.

Are social media profiles and external links generally prohibited?
No. An advert should not be rejected merely because it contains a factually relevant social media link.
Usernames or links to social media profiles may be used if:
- the profile relates to the actual offer,
- the link clearly indicates its destination,
- the linked content is trustworthy,
- additional images, examples of work or company information are displayed there,
- the link does not lead to misleading, fraudulent or prohibited content,
- the link is not used to circumvent platform rules.
The essential information about the offer must still appear directly in the advert. Interested parties should be able to understand the offer without first having to open an external page.
Do not ask users via external links to enter passwords, payment details, security codes or unnecessary personal documents. Questions and discussions regarding the advert should, where possible, be conducted within the platform.

Rejection due to an incorrect advert type, category, situation or location
The advert type, category, situation and location cannot be changed after the advert has been submitted for review.
An incorrect initial selection cannot be corrected by mentioning a different category, situation or location in the description text.
If any of these fields is incorrect:
- check carefully that you have selected the correct option,
- save your own text and images if necessary,
- create a new advert with the correct basic details,
- check whether the rejected entry is still required,
- avoid parallel or almost identical duplicates,
- do not attempt to disguise an incorrect selection by using unclear wording.

Rejection due to unclear or misleading text
The title and description must accurately reflect the actual content of the advert.
Check the following:
- Is it clear from the title what the advert is about?
- Does the text describe the actual item or service?
- Do the title, description, price and images match?
- Are the condition, scope, quantity and availability clear?
- Are any known defects mentioned?
- Are date- and time-specific details up to date?
- Are any mandatory conditions or costs being concealed?
- Does the text contain unsubstantiated guarantees or claims of success?
- Are irrelevant search terms or excessive repetitions being used?
- Is a different product or service being offered to that advertised in the title?
Do not remove individual words if the problematic content remains as a result. The correction must address the actual reason for rejection.

Rejection due to images or files
Images must relate to the advert and must not give a false impression of the offer.
Remove or replace images that:
- show a different item or service,
- do not reflect the actual condition,
- infringe third-party copyright, trade mark or personal rights,
- show uninvolved persons without sufficient consent,
- contain private addresses or shipping labels,
- show full ID, bank account, card, serial or IMEI numbers,
- disclose passwords, access codes, QR codes or security features,
- contain prohibited contact details,
- are not relevant to the purpose of the advert.
Where possible, use your own, up-to-date and descriptive images. If an image is used merely as an example, it must not be presented as if it were showing the actual item.

Rejection due to a prohibited or restricted offer
Not every offer can be made compliant simply by rewriting the text.
In particular, please check:
- whether the item may lawfully be offered,
- whether the service requires an official licence or professional qualification,
- whether the necessary supporting documents are available,
- whether the offer infringes the rights of other people,
- whether it contains dangerous, fraudulent or misleading content,
- whether the advert breaches the Terms of Use or supplementary guidelines.
A prohibited offer must not:
- be concealed under a more general category,
- be reposted with a more innocuous title,
- be split into several slightly modified adverts,
- be offered via external links or images,
- be resubmitted unchanged following rejection.
Further information can be found in Exclusion of prohibited services from the advertisement.

Rejection due to discriminatory or offensive content
Requirements and descriptions must be formulated objectively. Discriminatory, offensive, defamatory or otherwise unlawful content may lead to rejection.
For job offers or services, requirements should be stated only if they are necessary for the specific work and legally permissible.
Avoid blanket requirements relating to:
- ethnic origin or racist attributions,
- gender,
- religion or belief,
- disability,
- age,
- sexual identity,
- nationality or mother tongue, if the actual skill required can be described instead.
Further guidance can be found in Avoiding discriminatory content in advertisements.

Rejection due to a duplicate or substituted offer
Do not create multiple adverts with the same or nearly the same content in order to circumvent rejection or gain additional visibility.
In particular, avoid:
- the same offer under slightly altered titles,
- the same images in several similar adverts,
- repeatedly deleting and immediately recreating the same offer,
- replacing the original product with a different item,
- replacing one service with another,
- changing the purpose of the advert after submission,
- using an inappropriate category to gain additional reach.
If the offer has changed significantly, check whether a new advert with the correct basic details is required.

What should I check before resubmitting?
Check the entire advert, not only the section that was first flagged.
Before resubmitting, ensure that:
- The reason for rejection shown has actually been rectified.
- The title, description, price and images all relate to the same offer.
- All details are up to date, complete and consistent.
- The advert type, category, situation and location match the actual purpose.
- The title and description do not contain any prohibited contact details.
- Permitted external links match the offer and are not misleading.
- Personal and confidential data have been removed.
- The rights of third parties are respected.
- The offer does not breach platform rules or applicable law.
- There is no identical advert active at the same time.
Detailed step-by-step instructions can be found under How do I edit a rejected advert and resubmit it?

What happens after resubmission?
Once you have made the corrections, click ‘Publish’ or use the resubmission function currently displayed. The advert may then appear in the ‘Pending’ section.
There is no guaranteed processing time for the review. Therefore, please do not use phrases such as ‘within 60 minutes’ or ‘within two days at the latest’.
Resubmission does not guarantee approval. The advert may:
- be approved,
- be rejected again because the same problem was not fully resolved,
- be rejected due to a further identified issue,
- require additional information or evidence.
Check the current status under My adverts. Do not submit the same advert several times in quick succession merely because the review has not yet been completed.

When should I contact support?
Please use the contact form if:
- no clear reason for rejection is displayed,
- the reason displayed does not match the content of the advert,
- a necessary editing function is missing,
- a field cannot be changed for technical reasons,
- the advert displays an unexpected status after a correction,
- you would like a moderation decision to be reviewed.
Please provide the following where possible:
- the advert ID,
- the title of the advert,
- the current status,
- the reason for rejection as displayed,
- what changes have already been made,
- which field or function is unavailable,
- a redacted screenshot, if applicable.
Do not send passwords, one-off codes, full activation or reset links, session cookies or, unless requested, complete identity documents.
Support can review the matter in accordance with the applicable rules. However, approval or a specific processing time cannot be guaranteed.
